Final rites for Mrs. Philip (Rosie) Brockel, 78, of Herreid, were Friday, May 03, 1974, at 2:00 p.m. from Herreid Baptist Church with Reverend Edward A. Kopf officiating.
She was admitted to the Mobrdige Community Hospital, Sunday, and died suddenly Monday afternoon.
Born March 25, 1896, in Wilhelmstal, South Russia, daughter of Frederick Beck and Christine Sauter, came to United States in 1908, married at Herreid, November 30, 1916, to Phillip Brockel Jr. He passed away February 01, 1937.
She continued to run the farm and retired into Herreid 1955.
Couple had 12 children, three died as younsters.
