She died at her residence. Mrs. Porter was a homemaker, beautician, seamstress and farmer. She was a long time member of Goodwill Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim H. Holland and her mother, Agnes Flovia Sanders Holland; and a brother, Ernest Clinton Holland.
She was survived by her husband of 68 years, Gerald Lee Porter; daughter and son-in-law, Jerron Ian Porter Hill Day and James Alan Day of Germantown, Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Joy Porter Hughes Self and Dennis Ray Self of Goodwill, Louisiana; six grandchildren: Cynthia Joy Hughes Elliott Russell and her husband, Lewis B.
