Buford Wood Jr. age 64 of LaFarge passed away on Thursday,July 30,1987 at LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital.
He was born on August 25,1922 to Buford B. and Golda(Tate) Wood Sr. in Vernon County,Wisconsin.
Buford was a W.W.II Veteran
He was married to Doris Thomas on Dec.6,1943 in Portland,Oregon. The couple lived in Portland later moving to LaFarge.Buford worked for the Smith Construction Company of Nashville,Tennessee,and later for Dairyland Power of LaCrosse. He retired from Dairyland on August 31,1984 after 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents;five nephews;and three nieces.
Funeral services held Monday,August3,1987 at 2P.M.in the LaFarge United Methodist Church.Minister officiating,Doris Richardson.Interment in Star Cemetery.
