Golda was born 08 April 1899 in Minnesota to William Leroy and Lucinda Mae (Banks) Tate.She had one brother Llano Barton Tate who died in McLennon County Texas while serving in the military in 1918.Her Father died in Minnesota in 1901,her Mother married a second time to Joseph Broe and records show that two more sisters were born to Golda.Elsie born in 1903 and Hazel born in 1906 and dieing 1908, later that year Golda's Mother died also.Golda was sent to live with her Aunt Ida Tate who raised her.
