First female governor of Wyoming (and first in the country, as a whole). She served from January 5, 1925 to January 3, 1927. She was Director of the U.S. Mint (appointed by Franklin D. Roosevelt) for 20 years, from 1933 to 1953. Wife of Willam B. Ross, governor of Wyoming.
