Lake--Decatur--Charlene Ann (Murray) Lake, 64, of Decatur passed away at , 4:10 AM on Monday April 14, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 1 PM on Thursday April 17, 2008 at New Beginnings Church of God with visitation 2 hours before services. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials gifts are suggested to the family. Charlene was the first born child to Chuck and Lauretta Murray on October 4, 1943 in Decatur, IL. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School class of 1962, Decatur, IL. She married Ron Zinn September 21, 1962 in Decatur, IL. To this union her three sons were born. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God Decatur, IL and was most recently employed with First Tech in Decatur, IL and was an Avon representative. She married Marvin D Lake June 1, 1985, he preceded her in death on October 8, 2003. Charlene always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, she especially loved hugs from her grand children. She liked to do scrap booking and crafts. Charlene loved music, she and Marvin spent a lot of time with several local country bands where Marvin played bass and she would occasionally sing. Zion, IL, Marcus and Jen Hott of Belvidere, IL, Justinn Lander of Tennessee. Many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, brother in laws Les Hott, John Morey, Bob Steffen, and her grandma Jessie Powell who recently passed at 102.
