PARSONS - Charlotte L. Robinson, 89, formerly of Altamont, Kan., died at 11:10 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2007, at the Parsons Presbyterian Manor. She had been in failing health.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 29, at the First Baptist Church in Oswego. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont.
Memorials are suggested to the Oswego First Baptist Church or the Parsons Presbyterian Manor. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, PO Box 325, Altamont, KS 67330.
Charlotte was born Sept. 7 1917, in Canada Township, Labette County, Kan., to Newton A. and Estelle (Abshier) Allison. She grew up and attended schools in rural Labette county near Altamont. She lived her entire life in Labette County, Kan.
She and Nathan E. Robinson were married Jan. 30, 1935, in Edna.
Following marriage, they lived and farmed in Labette County until moving to Altamont in the late 1950s. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1998.
Charlotte was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oswego.
Those surviving are one son, Gary Robinson and wife Nancy, Independence, Mo.; one daughter, Jeanie Mourning and husband Don, Altamont; two grandchildren, Cassie Swindler and Callie Justesen; and three great-grandchildren, Collin Swindler, Mara Justesen and Reid Justesen.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse Allison, Glenn Allison and Earl Allison; three sisters, Vernia Triplett, Ruby Reel and Marie Spencer; and one great-grandchild, Carson Swindler.
