.John Henry Blum, aged 86, of 506 E 5th Street in Owen, died August 22, 1976 at 4:18 p.m. at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.

Mr. Blum was born July 18, 1890 at Neillsville, Wisconsin, and farmed there until 1919, when he came to Owen to work for John S. Owens Lumber Company. He also worked for Carnation and Blue Moon until 1950, whe ne moved to Milwaukee and worked in the Milwaukee Stamping Company. He retired in 1955 and lived in Eau Claire. In 1967 he moved back to Owen to live with his daughter, Mrs. Finnila.

Mr. Blum was married June 13, 1914 to Minnie Roepke from Chicago, who passed away May 17, 1959.

The deceased is survived by two sisters, Miss Johann Blum of Neillsville, and Mrs. Elizabeth Wendel of Niles, Illinois.

He is also survived by three sons, Henry Blum of Milwaukee, Karl Blum of Dalles, Oregon, and John Blum of Austin, Minnesota, and three daughters, Mrs. Grace Finnila of Owen, Mrs. Lester (Esther) Balts, Dallas, Wis., Mrs. Robert (lois) Kohnhorst of Wausau, and by 31 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Wednesday, August 25, at 1:30 p.m. at the Gospel Tabernacle in Withee, with Rev. Harry Peek officiating, and the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home providing services.

Burial was held at the Riverside Cemetery.
