Nov. 24 (Spl) Miss Fanny Noailles Dickinson Murfree, 95, sister of the late Miss Mary Noailles Murfree, famous author of the "80 s" died at her home here at t:30 o'clock after a long illness. She was a native of Rutherford County. She was born August 2, 1846 and was a great-granddaughter of Col. Hardy Murfree, Revolutionary War hero for whom the town of Murfreesboro was named. With her sister, she helped to organize St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro. She attended this church regularly until her health failed. Miss Murfree was an accomplished musician and wrote a novel herself which was published under the title, "Felicia." She also was a contributor to magazines. The funeral will be held at St. Paul's Church sometime Wednesday with the Rev. J. L. Kellermann, rector, officiating. Burial will be In Evergreen Cemetery. The Tennessean.
