I am only interested in managing memorials that are connected to me or my wife in some way. My biggest expertise on connections are the Hillmans (iron industry family) and the Franklins out of Sumner County, TN. My book is "Love's Young Dream: The Letters of Dr. Edward Noel Franklin to Miss Nannie Hillman, 1871," published by Silver Goblet Press, 2018, which caused me to do much research on the family history. I have inherited a lot of family history materials, including old photographs, and have been able to upload a good deal of biographical information onto Find-a-Grave, in addition to researching through Newspapers.com and otherwise Googling, and have also found relevant information at the Tennessee State Library and Archives.

In my opinion, Find a Grave is a place where everyone should communicate with kindness, and I certainly try to do that. Please don't hesitate to offer corrections or more biographical material, and if anyone is more closely related to the person in a memorial that I manage, I am happy to transfer.
