Daniel Horry was born in France & died in SC. He married Elizabeth Garnier & had 3 known children (listed below). He was the great-uncle of Gen. Peter Horry (for whom Horry Co., SC was named). He might be buried in Horry or Marion Co., SC (then Craven County where he was living when he died). No marker has been found. Craven, SC covered a very large area of SC back in Daniel's day & it's very difficult to pinpoint where lived.

Marion, Horry, Florence, Georgetown Counties, SC were known as Craven Co., SC in Daniel's day.

The marriage of Daniel Horry & Elizabeth Garnier is recorded in the Court of Ordinary of SC (1672-1692). A transcription of the bond appeared in the Transactions of the Huguenot Society of SC No. 32,1927. The same issue had the will of Elias Horry. The will was proved Sept. 29, 1736. The same publication had a transcription of an Elias Horry mural tablet on the wall of the French Huguenot Church of Charleston, SC. It is uncertain where Daniel is buried as no marker has ever been found.
