Valentine Hetzler arrived in Rochester, from Bavaria, Germany, in 1849, 4 years before his father and siblings. He lived in 1851 at 8 Riley Alley, Rochester and was a Tailor. His father, Charles, lived with him 1853-1863, on Ormond Street (formerly Chatham St,). Hamburgh St was thereafter his home and place of work for 36 years. During his last years between 1897 and 1909 he lived at 66 Weld Street, 35 Gilmore, 26 Concord Avenue and then in 1904 moved out to Gates, NY. He was living with his son's family, John A Hetzler. He died in 1909.
