Violette Loretta Martin Skiles (McGahey) of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Integris Marshall County Medical Center. She was born on March 11, 1924 to the late Albert and Maudie Martin of Bromide, Oklahoma and attended school at Coatsworth. She married Hurley Edward Skiles of Bromide and had six children; Cynthia Skiles Glenn, Bertha Lee Skiles, Linda Skiles Ingle, Francis Edward Skiles, Carolyn Skiles Ayres and James Hurley Skiles (McGahey).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Hurley Edward Skiles, her daughter Bertha Lee Skiles, (3) brothers; Robert Martin, Alfred Martin and Charles Martin; (1) sister, Edith Martin Ross and grandson, James E. McGahey.
She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother; truly a proverbs woman who always put the needs of her family before her personal desires. She loved to help and serve others and chose professions that reflected that; she was a Hairdresser and Home Health Care Provider.
Violette is survived by five children, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and present husband E. A. McGahey of Powell, Oklahoma.
