• CONNERVILLE -- Graveside services for Hurley Edward Skiles, 82, Tishomingo, will be at 2 p.m. today at Connerville Cemetery with the Rev. Wendyl Glenn officiating.
Skiles was born June 13, 1919, in Coatsworth to Albert E. and Myrtle Shumard Skiles. He died Nov. 3, 2001, in Tishomingo.
He lived in Santa Barbara, Calif., 42 years and was an airplane mechanic with McDonnell-Douglas. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Cathy Foster; a daughter, Bertha Ann Skiles; and two brothers, Ralph and Horace.
Survivors include two sons, Francis "Brush" Skiles, Sherman, Texas, and James H. McGahey, Powell; three daughters, Cindy Glenn, Madill, Linda Ingle, Mannsville, and Carolyn Ayres, Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Letha Cunningham, Milburn, Georgia Stewart and Gladys Breckner, Tishomingo; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
