Elizabeth Lane Bozarth, the daughter of John G. Lane and Elizabeth Springstone, was born on April 17, 1833 in Harrison County, Virginia, which became a part of West Virgiia in 1863. She married James Clinton Bozarth on March 31, 1855 in West Liberty, Iowa. Clinton was the son of Valentine Bozarth and Rebecca B. Hall. They came to Cedar Falls, Blackhawk Conty, Iowa in 1859 and settled on a 300-acre farm valued at $30 per acre in Section 30 in Union Township. They were the parents of Walter and Wilfred, who were born in West Liberty, Muscatine County, Iowa, and of Granville, John Lane, Charles, Lee Ainsley, Harvey and Maud Bozarth, who were born after their move to Blackhawk County. Elizabeth Lane Bozarth died November 1, 1890 and was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls, Blackhawk County, Iowa.
