Mrs. Helen M. Smith Schell, 65, wife of Floyd F. Schell, 1592 S. George St., died Wednesday at York Hospital.

Mrs. Schell was a retired employee of the cafeteria at Bear's Department Store, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, and the York County Chapter American Association of Retired Persons.

She was a daughter of the late Albert and Johanna Roach Smith.

She also is survived by the following children: Harry Schell, W. Market St.; Floyd Schell, 317 College Ave.; Lewis Schell, Jasper Ave., North York; Walter Schell, 1893 Ridgewood Road; Catherine and Robert Schell, 1592 S. George St.; James Schell, YMCA; 32 grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

She also leaves two brothers, James Smith, York and Walter Smith, McSherrystown, and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Hagerman, 1047 Prospect St., and Mrs. Catherine Hagerman, 39 N. Franklin St.

The funeral will be held Saturday with prayers at 9:15 a.m. at the Reilly Funeral Home, 252 S. George St., followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Patrick's church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
