On March 18, 1857 Oliver married Annie N. Cunningham in Monmouth. He was a lifelong resident of Greene, and the couple settled there to raise a family. Aside from the two children listed on this monument, they also had a daughter Abigail Ursula, who was obviously named for Abby's older sister Ursula who died at age 18. The daughter Abbie married Jesse E. Austin of Parkman, Maine, the younger brother of Fred C. Austin, who is buried in this cemetery. Jesse and Abbie lived in Wales and had four children. Abbie Austin died in 1923.
After Oliver's wife Abbie died, he continued to live with his unmarried adult children Melvin and Verda. After Melvin married he lived with Verda, with Melvin in the next household.
