Funeral service for Ruby Lucille Goforth, age 80 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Sister Alice Wendling will officiate.
Ruby Lucille was born the daughter of Grover Haney and Annie Carson Haney on January 25,1932 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. She passed away peacefully on May 13, 2012 at her home in Chickasha surrounded by her family.
Ruby moved with her family to Chickasha in 1980. She retired from Pet Milk after sixteen years of service. She loved to garden, cook for her family, and sew. Ruby also liked making quilts and aggravating Curtis Wise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover & Annie Haney, husband, William Goforth, and daughter Mary Ann Williams.
Survivors include Daughter & Husband: Gail Bryan & Bobby West of Chickasha; Son & Wife: James & Tina Goforth of Chickasha; Son & Wife: John & Pat Goforth of Stevenson, Alabama; Son & Wife: Wayne & Mikel Ann Goforth of Eightmile, Alabama; Son: David Goforth of Chickasha; Son & Wife: Gary & Casper Goforth of Oklahoma City; Daughter & Special Friend: Barbara Goforth and Curtis Wise of Chickasha; 16 Grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and Four great-great-grandchildren
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
