TILGHMAN Hazel Geraldine Dudrow of Tilghman died peacefully Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at Genesis Healthcare The Pines, at the miraculous age of 100.
Born April 28, 1908, she was the eldest of 10 children of the late Franklin and Elsie Lowery Jackson of Tilghman. She was a graduate of Tilghman High School and during her working years drove a school bus and worked as a salesperson for Atkinson's apparel store in Easton.
At the age of 20, she married Roy Harrison of Tilghman. Mr. Harrison died in 1952. She later married Glen Dudrow of Easton, who died in 1965.
She enjoyed playing bingo and was a faithful fan of the Baltimore Orioles. Her love of travel and the persistence for independence allowed her to live a fulfilling life. She will be remembered for her willingness, determination and longevity.
Mrs. Dudrow is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Sadler and her husband Leroy of Tilghman; her son, Roy Raymond Harrison Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Woolford; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Howeth and Hannah Crowl; five brothers, Franklin, Walter, Scott, Jack and Billy Jackson; two infant siblings; and a great-grandson, Philip Sadler.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Tilghman United Methodist Church in Tilghman, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be at Tilghman Memorial Cemetery in Tilghman.
