La Donna Rae Scott, 78, of Tulsa, and a former Parsons area resident died at 8:50 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the St. John's Medical Center Emergency Room in Tulsa.

She was March 24, 1934 at Mound Valley, Kansas to Joslin and Pearl (Keeslar) Stalford. She grew up on a farm east of Edna and grew up there and attended country schools and Labette County Community High School from where she graduated in 1952. She moved to Parsons and worked for the Jarboe Cattle Co.

She and Jack R. "Bob" Scott were married on December 10, 1955 at Edna, Kansas. He survives of the home.

They moved to Manhattan, Kansas and lived there while Bob attended Kansas State University. They moved to Tulsa when he graduated in 1963.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, collecting and trying recipes, reading, traveling, going to movies, and going to restaurants. She especially loved cooking for her family and her favorite movie was "Gone with the Wind".

In addition to her husband, Bob, La Donna is survived by four sons, Dr. Michael Scott, and his wife, Joni of Springfield, MO, Daniel Scott of Beverly Hills, CA, Jeffery Scott, and his wife, Shannon of Jenks, OK, Timothy Scott, and his wife, Jill of Little Elm, TX; one daughter, Kimberly Moore, and her husband, Dennis of Frisco, TX; 14 grandchildren; one sister, Marlene Goforth of Miami, OK. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Stalford.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 Saturday evening. Online condolences may be left at www.wallfuneralservices.com.
