Francis A. Webb IV, age 67, of Houston, departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, in Bay health Medical Center in Milford.
Francis was born July 28, 1942, the son of F. Albert Webb and the late Sarah (Simpson) Webb.
He graduated from Milford High School and served in the Delaware National Guard. He worked as a mason for Simpson Construction in Camden and then as a masonry teacher at Kent County Vocational Technical High School in Woodside. He ran his own farming operation near Milford for many years. More recently, he was a salesman for IG Burton Chevrolet and has worked for Southern States Milford Cooperative. He was a member and past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge #2401 in Milford.
Francis is survived by his father, Albert Webb; his companion of 12 years, Fay Covey; sister, Sara Towers and husband Wesley; nephew, David Towers and wife Patricia; niece, Laura Towers Yazemboski and husband Brian; one great-niece and four great-nephews.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 23, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. Interment was in Henlopen Memorial Park, near Lewes.
