General. Duke of Abrantès. He was born in France in 1771. In the early days of the french revolution he joined a battalion of volunteers. He quickly becomes a sergeant and is sent to Toulon were he is the aide-de-camp of general Bonaparte. During the Egyptian campaign Junot 'la tempête' becomes general. When he returns to France he is appointed governor of Paris and later on becomes ambassador in Portugal. Wounded in the head several times during the Napoleonic campaigns he becomes mentally deranged and dies after jumping out of a window.Jean-Andoche Junot, 1st Duc d'Abrantès was a French general during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
