John R. Sumner, 77, a resident of Safety Harbor for 10 years, died at the residence Eighth avenue and Third street yesterday. Besides his widow, Mr. Sumner is survived by a son, John W. Sumner, of Lakeland; a daughter, Mrs. S. H. Fitch, of Homestead; two brothers, R. L. Sumner of Bellaire, and Lewis Sumner, of Gainesville and three sisters; Mrs. George Pinkston of Tampa; Mrs. America Sellers, of St. Petersburg, and Mrs. Jasper Carter of Dade City. Funeral services will be held this morning at 11 o'clock at the Dade City cemetery.
