Bessie Blanche BAKER, 90, Rt. 1, Royal Center, died at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Wednesday at 8:20 p.m. She was born Nov. 19, 1893 in Grass Creek to Asa J. and Odessa Maude KUMLER MURRAY. She was married to Earl H. BAKER Sept. 4, 1913 in Grass Creek. She was a member of the Grass Creek United Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid of the church and the Boone Township Extension Homemakers Club. Surviving with the husband are two sons, Forrest M. [BAKER], Rt. 1, Kewanna, and Dale A. [BAKER], Rt. 1, Royal Center; two daughters, Thelma O. McVAY, Piedmont, Mo., and Helen M. BONNELL, Rt. 1, Star City; twenty-one grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren,and four great-great-grandchildren. Three brothers, three sisters and a son preceded in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home in Royal Center with the Rev. Ron MOORE officiating. Burial will be in the Grass Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday until time of services. Memorials may be made to charity or the Grass Creek United Methodist Church WSCS.
