She was born April 20, 1905, in Henry County's Napoleon Township, the daughter of Wilhelm and Wilhelmine (Meyer) Plassman. In 1924, she married Edward Brandt, who died in 1986. She was a homemaker and member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Adams Township, and its women's organization.
Surviving are four sons, Marvin of Defiance, Dr. Raymond of Fort Wayne, Rev. Edward of Willard and Stephen, Dayton; five daughters, Mrs. Dale (Marian) Steingass, Virginia Grotjohn of Mansfield, Mrs. Carl (Joyce) Conners of Swartz Creek, Mich., Rev. Alvera Letho of Toledo and Marlene Brandt, Tecumseh, Mich.; a sister, Amelia Gerken, Wauseon; and 29 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Wilfred and Raymond's twin brother Robert; and 12 brothers and sisters and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church with Rev. Tom Frey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. today at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon.
