Emilie Rose Gerken, 98, of Wauseon passed away late Tuesday September 22, 2009 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Mrs. Gerken was a life long Homemaker.

Mrs. Gerken was born in Napoleon Township, Henry County Ohio on December 30, 1910 to the late William and the late Wilhemina “Minnie” (Meyers) Plassman. On March 9, 1930 she married August Gerken and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Gerken was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church near Wauseon.

Surviving are three sons; Richard of Wauseon, Robert (Linda) of Delta, Florian Ronald “Stephanie Kay” of Waterville and two daughters; Loretta (Marvin) Imbrock of Malinta, OH and Lou Ann Harris of Norman, OK. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents was son; Vernon and four grandchildren; Jeff Gerken, Eric Gerken, Diana Imbrock and Jodi Wilhelm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday September 25, 2009 at the St. Luke Lutheran Church near Wauseon with Pastor David Goehmann officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Luke Lutheran Church on Thursday from 1:00-8:00pm.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Luke Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com
