Margaret Ann Beckner Gibson was the daughter of Henry and Mary Bradford Beckner. She was the first of their three children but the only one that survived childhood.

She married Civil War Veteran Gideon Walker Gibson
in 1873 and they had at least 11 children: (My great-great grandmother) Mary Abigail, Emma, William Howard, Samuel Anderson, Ina Elizabeth, George G., Ada Estelle, Charles Richard, Homer Coulter, Clara Ethel Jane and Harold Alva. There is also mention of another child, their firstborn, which lived only half an hour but no record was made of that son.
