Funeral services will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Cindy Richard Bernard, age 51, who passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at her residence in Carencro.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro.
Mrs. Bernard loved gardening and taking care of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Bernard of Vatican; two sons, Andre Paul Bernard and his wife, Crystal, and Kevin Bernard, all of Vatican; one daughter, Angel Bernard of Vatican; two grandchildren, Jeremy Bernard and Mason Bernard; three brothers, John Al Richard and his wife, Stella, of Vatican, Joseph Bertrand Richard and his companion, Patricia Stelly and Mike Richard and his wife, Karen, all of Church Point; and eight sisters, Rosa Mae Meche and her husband, Ray, of Moss Bluff, Irene Prejean of Crowley, Doris Braus and her husband, Wayne, Brenda Hoback and her husband, Bobby, all of Carencro, Sherry LeBlanc and her husband, Wayne, Missy Guidry and her husband, Byron, all of Scott and Lisa Bernard and her husband, "T-June" of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Dormas Richard and the former Effie McBride, both natives of Church Point; and one brother, Darrell Richard.
Pallbearers will be Mike Richard, Joseph Richard, Andre Bernard, Kevin Bernard, Seth Bernard and John "Junior" Richard.
Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Avenue Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
