Graveside service for Earnest Bradshaw, 76, Stillwater, will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Paradise Valley Cemetery, west of Porter Hill, with Dr. John Bruce, officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home.

Mr. Bradshaw passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Stillwater. He was 76 years, 4 months, and 12 days old.

Earnest Bradshaw was born December 28, 1935 to Euell and Juna Mae (Massey) Bradshaw in Rocky, OK. He attended school at Mt. Scott, Cyril, and graduated from Sterling High School in 1953. He was a member of Stillwater Church of Christ. He married Barbara Waid September 3, 1954 in Sterling. Four sons were born to this union: Dwayne in 1956, Bart in 1959, Craig in 1960, and Kevin in 1965. His brother, Nealis came to live with them in 1960 and is thought of as a brother by his four sons. After graduation, he worked for Spartan Aircraft at Ft. Sill, OK. He received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma University at Weatherford. He taught at Selman, OK before returning to Sterling where he, Barbara, and her mother operated a grocery store until 1970. At this time, he became principal at Elgin Public Schools. He later became Assistant Superintendant and Superintendant until 1979. Earnest received his Administrator's Certificate from the University of Oklahoma. Earnest worked for Dowell Oil Services and retired from the Department of Standardization and Evaluation at Ft. Sill due to his ill health. He later moved to Stillwater to be near his son.

He is survived by 4 sons: Dwayne Bradshaw and his wife Ann of Oklahoma City, Bart Bradshaw and his wife Stacy of Sterling, Craig Bradshaw and his fiancé Angel of Bartlesville, and Kevin Bradshaw and his wife Jana of Stillwater; 10 grandchildren: Melissa and her husband Brett, Amber and her husband Patrick, Travis, Corey, Zachary, Lauren, Mitchell, Karsyn, Amanda and her husband Russell, Ryan and his wife Starla; 8 great grandchildren: Caden, Tanner, Gavin, Jackson, Hallie, Logan, Carter, and Norah; 2 brothers: Jim and his wife Peggy and Nealis and his wife Carolyn; 2 sisters: Almeada Alexander and Pam Falizi and her husband Mehdi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Euell and Juna Mae Bradshaw; 3 brothers: Bill, Dean, and Gerrel Gene Bradshaw; and 1 sister, Paula Mueller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 5700 N. Portland Ste. # 203 Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
