Funeral service for Almeada (Bradshaw) Alexander, 78, of Sterling, Oklahoma, will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Sterling with Dr. Mark Hall, officiating. Burial will follow at the Sterling Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Alexander passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at her home in Sterling. She was 78 years, 11 months, and 15 days old.

Almeada Maxine (Bradshaw) Alexander was born April 22, 1934 in Rocky, Oklahoma to Euell and Juna Mae (Massey) Bradshaw. She grew up in Sterling, Oklahoma where she graduated high school in 1952. Almeada married Donald Alexander on May 4, 1952 in Sterling. The two were married for 57 years when Don passed away in 2009. Almeada and Don owned and operated the Don Alexander Antenna Service for 27 years. Almeada was a lifetime resident of Sterling and an active member of the First Baptist Church where she was a youth minister, a GA's teacher, and a Vacation Bible School teacher. She liked to travel with her husband in their RV and was a member of the Good Sams and Buffalo Sams RV clubs. She substituted in Sterling Public Schools for around 10 years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Almeada spent her life being a caregiver, whether it was donating coats to local children during the winter or caring for sick family members she was always there for others. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Paula Hale and her husband Craig of Sterling; 2 sons: Gary Don Alexander and his wife Mary of Sterling and Brad W. Alexander and his wife Tana of Cyril; 2 brothers: Nealis Bradshaw and his wife Carolyn and Jimmy Bradshaw and his wife Peggy all of Sterling; 1 sister, Pam Falizi and her husband Medhi of Sterling; 11 grandchildren: Melissa Ellison, Charlie Hale, Aaron Alexander, Misty Sqyres, Kasie Self, Jack Holland, Elizabeth Caudill, Canda Grass, and Lacey, Austin, and Bradley Alexander; and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Alexander; her parents, Euell and Juna Mae Bradshaw; 4 brothers: Bill, Dean, Gerrell, and Earnest Bradshaw; 1 sister, Paula Mueller; and 1 grandson, James Christopher Hale.
