WHITE SETTLEMENT - Georgia "Grandma" Whitworth, 77, a retired Seamstress, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes with the Rev. Jack Slater officiating. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Whitworth was born March 7, 1923, in Muskogee, Okla. She graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1940. She married Charles Whitworth on Oct. 14, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors: Daughter, Donna Thompson and husband, Gene, of Fort Worth; sisters, Mary Sue Kinney and husband, Tom, of Tulsa, Okla., and Betty Jo Byfield and husband, Charles, of Tahlequah, Okla.; brother, Charlie Baker and wife, Anna Lee, of Woodriver, Ill.; granddaughters, Belinda Thompson and Dana Byrne and husband, Jeff; grandson, Gene Thompson Jr. and wife, Beverly; great-grandchildren, Gene Thompson III and Rebecca Thompson, all of Fort Worth; several nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
