Parents married in Perry Co., OH. Family lived in Monday Creek Twp., Perry Co. and she was one of 6 siblings. (*she & 3 sisters used the name Bowe (without an s. The name on Mary's marriage license is Bow).

Only the base is standing for her monument next to her husband, Christian's monument.

Her son, Clem Boley, hosted the great Boley-Bowe Family Reunion of 1924 (attached) after her death that many of their descendants attended.

Supposedly, the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette newspaper ran an article abt 1961 re: during the Civil War, Christian & Mary gave horses to the Confederates so they would leave the rest of their property alone (not able to locate).
