MARIAN E. MASON
Marian E. Mason, 85, passed away May 8, 2012. Marian was born April 3, 1927, in Boston, Mass., to Philip and Margaretta (Alcorn) Jackson. She attended secretarial school in Massachusetts before moving to Kansas City in 1950. Marian retired from First Federal Savings & Loan of North Kansas City. She was a longtime board member for Clay-Platte A.R.C. She also spent many hours as a volunteer for the A.R.C. Bowling Team. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene F. Mason, Jr. in 1982; son, Stephen in 1997 and two brothers, Frank and Philip Jackson. She is survived by her sons, Eugene F. Mason III and James S. Mason, daughters, Sandra J. Mezger, Susan E. Bagby and Christina A. Zagorach, eight grandchildren, Douglas, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Tom, Kathryn, Lisa, Emily and Dylan and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at the funeral home. Burial in Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.
