Davis Morris, age 74, of Atlanta, Texas, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at his residence surrounded by family.
Davis was born July 28, 1937 in Linden, Texas. He was retired from Papco Construction; and was a member of
Mill Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Jeanette Morris; daughter,
Rebecca Daniel Lawson, Mother and father, Ruby and Marion Morris; sisters, LeeBelle Moyer, Juanita Hombree,
Ruth Conner; brothers, Kenneth Morris, Edward Morris and G. M. Morris.
Survivors include his sons and daughter, Roger Weems of Queen City, Texas, Louis and Barbie Weems of Atlanta, Texas,
Kenneth and Jill Daniel of Missouri, Joyce and Jerel Hodges of Atlanta, Texas, Druey and Teresa Daniel of Texarkana,
Texas, Jesse and Janet Daniel of Atlanta, Texas; brothers and sisters, Alfred Morris of Sherman, Texas,
Irene Sullivan of Beeville, Texas, Dorothy Metcalf of California, Judy Moody of Tennessee;
a very special person in his life, Daisy Clark; grandchildren, Kim George of McLeod, Roger Weems of Mesquite,
Teresa Rivers of Tatum, Chris Lawson of Bivins, David Lawson of Atlanta, Scotty Weems, Jody Weems, Jeremy Weems
of Belton, Sara Weems of Atlanta, Paul Weems of Linden, Tangie Marsh of Bivins, Jared Daniel of McLeod,

direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. J. W. Crow officiating.
