Virginia Hill Crownover age 93 of Murfreesboro, TN died Wednesday May 9, 2012. A native of Wilders Chapel in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Nancy Sherrill Hill. Mrs. Crownover was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L Crownover who died in 1986.
Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Friday at Nashville National Cemetery in Madison, TN with Rev. Michael Waldrop officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Crownover is survived by her daughters and sons in-law, Jackie and Jim Penner and Nancy and Jeff Sandvig all of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Houston Hill of Winchester, TN; four grandchildren, Thomas H., James B. Jr., and Virginia L. Penner and Elizabeth C. Sandvig; two great granddaughters, Mary Lane and Eloise Penner.
Mrs. Crownover was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was the former owner and operator along with her husband of Crownover Grocery.
