Actress. Fondly remembered for playing ‘Emma Ritzik’, wife of ‘Master Sergeant Rupert Ritzik’, played by Joe E. Ross in the TV comedy program “The Phil Silvers Show” (1956 to 1959). She was reunited with Ross who played ‘Officer Gunther Toody’, when she was cast as the long-suffering wife ‘Lucille Toody’ in the TV comedy series “Car 54, Where Are You?” (1961 to 1963). Also known as Beatrice Moore Pons, she initially studied to become a teacher and received her Masters degree, while acquiring experience as an actress in summer stock productions. In 1934, she made her Broadway debut in the production “Mahogany Hall” and would appear in several plays during the decade. She continued her career as a teacher while maintaining her acting of which included extensive work in radio on such programs as “The Goldbergs”. Among her film credits include “Diary of a Bachelor” (1964) and “Rachel, Rachel” (1968). She was married to actor David Ross.
