Daughter of Ben and Emily (Baldwin) Alexander. Graduated from Hononegah High School. Employed at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center for 45 years. Mary and her sister, Pauline Christenson, were known in their earlier years as the "Alexander Sisters," playing Hawaiian music for local radio stations in Beloit, Janesville and Madison, Wis., and on WROK. She loved to knit. Mary was a very charitable person who cared for many people, family and friends alike. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. Survivors include brother, Benjamin (Marion) Alexander of Roscoe sister-in-law, Lillian Alexander special nieces, Anna Jean Walsh and Lillian Nielson special nephew, Brian Alexander special great-niece, Angela Walsha nephews, Collen and Mike Alexander great-nephew, Scott Nielson great-niece, Michelle Nielson great-great-nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends and special friend, Patches the cat. Predeceased by parents brother, Duncan Stewart Alexander sister, Pauline Christenson two baby sisters, Helen and Anna Jean.
