Age 88, Caulfield MO - Born Oct. 12, 1920, at Udall, Mo., to Edward and Rosie Killion Halford. Mrs. Ellison passed away at 7:50 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, surrounded by her family, at West Vue Nursing Center. On May 12, 1938, she was married at Udall, Mo., to Sherman Ellison, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1976. The Ellisons were married for 38 years. Mrs. Ellison loved gardening, quilting and cooking for her family. She especially enjoyed holidays and the many family gatherings. She accepted Christ at a young age and had her membership for many years at the Baptist Hill Church. She is survived by four children, Rosa Lee Burr, Tecumseh, Mo., Donald Ellison, wife, Georgia, Lyndall Kuk and Dennis Ellison, wife, Laura, all of Caulfield, Mo.; several grandchildren including Donald Eugene Ellison, Danita Wolf, husband, Rex, Melinda Ellison, Kenneth Kuk, wife, Liz, Keith Kuk, wife, Vicki, Kevin Kuk, wife, Anne, Shanna Robinson, husband, Tyree, Dustin Ellison, D J Ellison, Dakota Ellison, Valerie Barnett, husband, Jeramey, Vicky Barnett and Freddie Barnett, wife, Amber; great-grandchildren, including Brandie and Katie Joyce, Cassidy Ellison, Michael Kuk, Lynsey Johnson, Mikey Neal, Brandon Neal, Kelsey Neal, Danielle Kuk, Keegan Kuk, Abby Kuk, Samantha Kuk and Jordan Kuk; four great-great-grandchildren, Madison Rose Robinson, Eli Kuk, Zayden and Kyrin Magnuson; her only sister, Fannie Jones, husband, Leroy; brothers-in-law, Sheridan Ellison, wife, Anna Lee, Dellie Rothgeb, Wayman Kesner, wife, Mannie, and Edward Ellison, wife, Margaret; step-sisters-in-law, Janita Eslinger and Johny Perry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Rufus, Elvis and Orville; two sons-in-law, James Kuk and Clay Burr; her father-in-law and mother-in-law; several sisters-in-law; one daughter-in-law, Terri Ellison; and many aunts and uncles. Mrs. Ellison was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and beloved friend. She will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at the Bridges Creek Baptist Church under the direction of Robertson Drago Funeral Home. Burial was at Baptist Hill Cemetery.
