Charity-Geertie Barent was the daughter of Hendrick and Maritjie Baernt. After the death of Hendrick Hegeman, her first husband, Charity Barent Hegeman married Denee Ostrum. Denee Ostrom was born on January 14, 1730 and died July 20, 1812. He was a veteran of the American Revolution.
