He was raised by a family in Staunton until October 1956.
After moving to the Waynesboro and Quincy areas, he was employed at Quincy United Methodist Home as a laborer.
A service was conducted at 10 a.m. today at Quincy United Methodist Home by the Rev. R. Bruce Woolever with burial at 2 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Churchville, Va., by the Rev. Wayne Parsley.
