Marion "Doc" Amburgey
70, of Levee Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on June 15, 1941 the son of the late Grant and Ruby Cox Amburgey. He was a retired mechanic for the Walker Company and the Falcon Company. He was a member of the Eastland Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jean Adams Amburgey of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Dee Dee Amburgey (Spears) Stilz and Leigh Ann Amburgey both of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Charlie Amburgey of MT. Sterling; three sisters, Jane Botts of Denniston, KY, Pam Amburgey of Winchester, KY and Debbie Brown of Frenchburg, KY; three grandchildren, Casey Greene, Jacob Stilz and Hagan Stilz also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Amburgey. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Prater officiating and burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday evening from 5-8 PM. Pallbearers are A. J. Bowling, Mike Reddix, Jimmy Jolly, Spears Stilz, Bobby Anderson, and Joe Moore. Honorary pallbearers are David Goodpaster and the Walker Shop Employees.
