Charlie Grant Amburgey, 66, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday morning, July 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1950 in Mt. Sterling to the late Willard Grant Amburgey and Ruby Cox Hicks.

Charlie was a Montgomery County native, a member of the Christian Assembly of God and retired from Apollo Oil. He enjoyed knife making, guns and trap shooting. He will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.

Survivors include; his beloved wife, Patricia Joyce Lockhart Amburgey of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Debbie Brown and Janey Botts (Earl), both of Frenchburg and Pam Amburgey of Winchester; two special nieces, Ramona Webb (Ricky) and Jeanette Ross (Wayne), both of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marion Amburgey and David Amburgey.

Funeral will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 12:00PM, Visitation prior from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Christian Assembly of God. Pastor Wayne Ross and Pastor Scott Barnes will be officiating.



Pallbearers: Brian Mills, Josh Ross, Michael Mills, James Mills, Robert Webb and Henry Jo Botts.
