Alfred Graap, Sr., 77, Burma Rd, Merrill, died Monday morning March 21, 1994 at Wausau Hospital Center.

Alfred was born on November 8, 1916 in the Town of Corning to Paul and Amelia Kleinschmidt Graap, Sr. He married Myrtle Weisman in Merrill on December 12, 1936.

Alfred was a dairy farmer and logger in the Town of Harding. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.

Survivors include his wife Myrtle of Merrill, two daughters Evelyn (Charles) Shaver of Gleason, and Delores Schemehorn, Merrill; two sons Harvey (Cathy) Graap and Donald (Darlene) Graap, Sr.; both of Merrill; a sister Sadie (Glen) Mahn, California; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Graap, Jr; a grandson, Dale Madden; five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held on Thursday morning, March 24, 1994, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev. Kenneth Albers presided and burial was in Chat Cemetery, Town of Birch.

The Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
