Mr. Alexander Woodside, brother of William Woodside of our city, was accidentally killed on the repairing track in Alton, Ills. Mr. Woodside was repairing the drawhead of one of the refrigerator cars when an engine backed up crushing two cars together. Mr. Woodside was caught between, the cars crushing his body in a frightful manner, killing him instantly. The Alton Weekly Telegraph in speaking of the accident says he leaves two brothers, William and Matthew, also an invalid wife. Mr. Woodside received the sad news by telegraph the other evening.
