She was born on September 2, 1912 in Altamont, IL. Erna was the daughter of August and Anna Wajou Bahlow. She married Henry Bagley on November 26, 1938 in Merrill.
Living in the Merrill area most of her life, Erna was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Merrill.
She is survived by two step-daughters, Mamie Klade, Delavan, and Marion (Robert) Hill of Merrill; five sons, Henry (Sandra)Bahlow, Janesville, Donald Bagley of Racine; and Lloyd Bagley and Floyd (Sandra) Bagley all of Merrill; a brother Benjamin Bahlow, Merrill, and Adelia Boerner, Shawano. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, two sons Harry and Robert; two brothers Elmer and Arthur; two sisters, Louise and Esther; and a grandson, Michael.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, June 28, 1994 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Merrill. The Rev John F. Henning and Reverend Keith W. Anderson officiated. Burial was in the Chat Cemetery, Town of Birch. The Taylor Funeral Home in Merrill was in charge of the arrangements.
