catherine went by the nickname kay. she was born in her grandmother morgan's house and died in the house of her first born child following a courageous battle with cancer. she was 59 years old. she grew up in various areas of pittsburgh, pennsylvania. she married william r fisher on november 6 1949. she gave birth to 5 daughters, cathy marie, susan carol, mary catherine, audrey lorraine and billie-jo. she was a strict mother wanting only the best for her children because she loved them so. my aunt, her sister-in-law, once told me how she had given a pair of sandels that my aunt said she liked and went home barefoot. she was quite a seamstress, making many dresses for her young daughters. she did a whole wedding party, from bride to flower girl, because the bride could not afford the gowns she made them for free. she also made a beautiful gown for her mother-in-law to wear in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary party given by their nine children. mum you gave so much and took so little i could never repay you for all you did. i tried to make it up to you when you were sick but i only scratched the surface when you compare it to what you gave. i wish we could have seen you grow old but that was not possible. instead i tell your great grandchildren all about you. how you are their guardian angel. i take them to where you were born and places you lived, where you went to high school, and how you would have cuddled them if you were here. i love you and all you did for me. you live on in memories.
