He was the son of Romanian immigrants and proudly grew up in the Romanian

community of Canton, Ohio.

Brother of Victoria (Barb), Mary and George Christea. He also had a sister who died at 10 years old and two brothers who died as infants.

Married Helen Gottschling, Feb 17, 1950 in Alliance Ohio.

Father of Lynn Chambers(m Todd Chambers) and Earl "Chris" Christea Jr.

Grandfather of: Leanne (Chambers) Sullivan, Alexandra Marie Chambers, Natalie Elizabeth and Madelyn Anne Christea.
