He was born on September 9, 1929, son of William and Agnes (Johnson) Duncan. He was a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, and attended the Cannon Falls schools through 9th grade, when he quit to take care of his family.

He married Jane Smith on October 9, 1954 in Cannon Falls. He worked for Cannon Valley Milling Company and Wedin's "66" Station prior to his marriage. He was employed by Minnesota Malting for 15 years. Smith Construction for 7 years, and drove school bus for Henry Kuhlman
for 20 years. His final employment was as a truck driver with Knudsen
Trucking in Hager City. He retired from driving after 17 years due to health reasons.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; two daughters, Mrs Anthony (Linda) Faust of Northfield and Mrs. Paul(Deborah) Otto of Cannon Falls; one son, William Duncan of Plymouth; seven grandchildren, Jesse and Andrew Faust, Molly and Hillary Duncan, and Eric, Holly and Megan Otto; three
sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Jeanette) Johnston of Dennison, Sally Voshalike
of Cannon Falls, and Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Anderson of Thousand Oaks,
CA.; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in
death by his parents; brother Gerald Duncan; and sister Donna Estes.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at St. Ansgar's
Lutheran Church, with Rev. Charles Jacobson and Rev. Guy Redfield officiating. Interment followed at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Pallbearers were Archie and Doug Duncan, Jim Flakne, Don Larson, Russ Miller and Frank Otto.
