He was discharged on 16 April 1862 at Georgetown, DC from Union Gap General Hospital for injuries. Not verified, but the Regiment was part of Gaines Mill battle and many were killed and wounded here. He was listed as a deserter until he was found to be at the Union Gap Hospital.
He married Mary J. McCotter, date unknown, but after 1860. There are no records of children from this marriage.
