SERVICE FRIDAY FOR CLAYTON B. ALLAWAY 18 MO.

 

Clayton Beryl Allaway was born November 29, 1960 at White Salmon, Washington. He passed away at Trout Lake, Washington May 19, 1962 at the age of 1½ years.    

The youngster drowned in an irrigation ditch near the family home Saturday. The services for him will be held at Gardener's Chapel in White Salmon, Friday, May 25th with interment at the Trout Lake Cemetery.    

He is survived by his father, Carlton W. Allaway; his mother, Esther Allaway; four brothers, Carl, James, David, Daniel; two sisters, Donita, and Brenda; and his grandfather, D. H. Allaway of Trout Lake.

         An accident occurred at Troutlake when the small 18-month-old son of Carlton Allaway drowned in the irrigation ditch on Saturday on their farm home.

TROUT LAKE CHILD DROWNS IN DITCH

 

Clayton Beryl Allaway, 1½ year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton W. Allaway of Trout Lake, was drowned in an irrigation ditch near the Allaway barn late Saturday afternoon, May 19. The child had been missing about ten minutes.       

Three fireman with a resuscitator accompanied Gardner's ambulance to the scene of the accident. The men were Wayne Carlock, Marvin Garrett, and Allen Clarke. The boy was pronounced dead by a doctor from White Salmon.        

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25 at the Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon. The Rev. Duane Hatch will officiate. Burial will be in the Grange Cemetery at Trout Lake. Casket bearers will be Robin Knutson, Wren Knutson, Carl Allaway and James Allaway.    

Little Clayton was born Nov. 29, 1960 at White Salmon. He is survived by his mother (nee Esther Collins); father, Carlton W. Allaway, brothers, Carl James, David and Daniel; sisters, Donita and Brenda; and grandfather, D.H. Allaway, all of Trout Lake.
